It depends on the model. Nike fit varies between styles, so a single verdict for the whole brand would be misleading, and we only publish a fit verdict where we have measured one. The dependable way to answer it for the pair you are buying is to work from a shoe you already own and know fits: enter it above and we will tell you which Nike size matches it.
Start from a shoe you already own that fits, rather than from your usual number. Enter it above and we will convert through foot length to the matching Nike size, which is the part that carries across brands. The EU to US offset is not the same for every brand, so a rule of thumb learned elsewhere will not hold here.
Not directly, because a size label means whatever the brand decides it means. A Nike 42 and an Adidas 42 are cut for different foot lengths, and so is a Nike 42. Foot length is the common unit, which is why our comparison works from the measurements behind each brands chart rather than from the number printed on the box.

Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight. The worlds largest supplier of athletic shoes, Nike produces footwear for virtually every sport and lifestyle category. The brand is known for Air cushioning technology, Flyknit construction, and collaborations with athletes worldwide.

Nike sizing varies across categories and models. Running shoes (Pegasus, Vomero) generally fit true to size. Basketball shoes (Jordan, LeBron) have a snug, performance-oriented fit. Lifestyle models (Air Force 1, Dunk) can run slightly large. The Air Max line fits true to size for most people.

For Nike running shoes, order your normal size. Air Force 1s often run half a size large, so consider sizing down. Dunks fit true to size. For wide feet, Nike offers wide (W) and extra-wide (XW) options in many running models. When comparing to Adidas, Nike tends to run very similarly in length.
