Onitsuka Tiger is a Japanese heritage footwear brand founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka in Kobe, Japan. The predecessor to ASICS, the brand is renowned for the iconic Mexico 66 sneaker and retro-athletic designs that blend Japanese craftsmanship with vintage style.
Onitsuka Tiger shoes run small and narrow compared to mainstream athletic brands like Nike and Adidas. The Mexico 66 fits true to size for average feet but is notably narrow. If you wear Nike US 10, try Onitsuka Tiger US 10.5 or even US 11.
Size up half to one full size from your Nike/Adidas size. For the Mexico 66 and Serrano, the narrow toe box is the main concern - go up if you have wider feet. Leather models break in and soften within 1-2 weeks. Japan CM sizing is the most accurate reference.
